Intel's big projects to bring the newest generation of processors that run at the 32 nanometer Hi-K, finally obtained a certainty. after one of their officials declared the project with the code "Sandy Bridge" will be produced this year.
According to Intel executive VP David Perlmutter, Sandy Bridge will be the first processor that will support the Advanced Vector Extension (AVX). With the support of AVX, will mempervcepat accelerated floating point intensive applications such as image, video, and audio processing, as well as engineering applications, including the model of three-dimensional (3D).
"Sandy Bridge will continue its support to Intel Instruction New AES (AES-NI), including seven-acceleration software for data encryption and decryption process," said Perlmutter, quoted by TG Daily, Thursday (15/4/2010).
And the most special of Sandy Bridge is itself, the ability of the brain was immersed with the sixth-generation graphics that would be a 'friend' the equivalent for AVX to perform floating into images, video and audio processing.
Previously, Intel's 32nm processors in its products to for desktop and mobile segments, ie series i5 Core and Core i7 and Core models introduced in prime-I3, which is Intel's newest brand.
